In a daring operation, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command has thwarted a child trafficking plot, rescuing five minors from the clutches of suspected traffickers.
According to a statement by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, the operatives arrested two female suspects, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Ojah, on April 27, 2024, at around 8:00 p.m. at Kagini Junction, Abuja. The suspects were intercepted while attempting to convey the five children into the Federal Capital Territory.
“The suspects, who initially attempted to escape arrest from Sokoto police operatives, were finally apprehended by our eagle-eyed officers in Abuja,” Adeh said.
