Engineer Azeez Olaniyan has urged all the residents of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State to imbibe the lessons and sacrifices of Ramadan in their day-to-day life.
Olaniyan is a trained engineer and the president of Ora Grammar School Old Students Association (OGSOSA).
Azeez Olaniyan, while sending Eid-il-fitr message to all residents of Ifelodun Local Government, said the holy month of Ramadan symbolizes love, self-denial and sacrifice and as such, Muslims must sacrifice all their personal interests to develop their communities as the holy Quran teaches.
Ora born Engineer appealed that the 30 days of spiritual cleansing and its inherent lessons should not be wished away as they strive to rebuild the Local Council Area.
“I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the Eid-el-Fitri celebration, and pray that Almighty Allah will accept our prayers, grant all our heart desires and preserve our lives to witness many more celebrations.
”Ramadan is indeed a month of patience, in it, we fast for the sake of Allah by enduring hunger, and thirst, extending love to all especially the less privileged in the society. We all need to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan in all our dealings. Loving one’s community is part of faith and we must come together to develop Ifelodun Local Government as nobody will come from outside to fix our community’s challenges,” he said
He later urged the Muslim ummah to strive for the development of the Council Area and chart for collaboration among the residents.
