The Executive Chairman, Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area, Hon. Johnson Sunday Johnson Babatunde received a letter of commendation from the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs today, Monday , 31st of July, 2023.
The letter of commendation was delivered by the Director of Local Government Project monitoring, Mr Raymond Ogunjobi who extolled the Council Boss for his tremendous achievements in grassroot development.
Mr. Ogunjobi, while handing over the letter recalled the Ministry’s unscheduled visit by the State officials to Orile-Agege LCDA on 31st of May, 2023 and stated how the team observed during the visit that the LCDA executed many projects ranging from Road, Education, human/ Infrastructural development, social and health amongst others which has helped to improve the quality of life of the residents.
He hailed the Chairman for his accomplishments and invaluable contributions to the wellbeing of the Citizens, stating that it is in line with the State Government’s ‘THEMES’ agenda.
He enjoined the Council Boss to keep up the good works and to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy.
The Council Chairman received the letter at the conference room in the Council Secretariat was full of joy, He thanked the Ministry for the recognition while adding that the letter is an encouragement for him to work harder, he promised not to rest on his oars as the reward for hard work is more work. He raised the need for the federal government to continue to empower the local government in order to foster more development at grassroots level. He rounded up by lauding his Team for their commitment and support saying a tree does not make a forest and the applaud is for all.
