Hameedah Foundation, PCRC charge Nigerian girls on leadership & greatness

Hameedah Poverty Relief .Foundation, a notable charity organization, partnered with Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC ) and Member representing Ikeja constituency II who doubles as Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu to celebrate Day of the Girl Child 2024.

The event was put together and also supported by Lady Care to celebrate every Girl-child in Nigeria.

The Focus of the Lady Care products is caring for the amazing Nigerian girls and women by providing hygiene, comfort, and protection during that time of the month.

At the twin event held at Eko Club, Surulere and Ogba Junior Grammar School; the girls child were charged to uphold the tenet of leadership and strive to achieve greatness in life.

This year Girl Child celebration is themed “Girls’ Vision for the Future”

Meanwhile, the founder of Hameedah Poverty Relief .Foundation, Mrs Hameedah Balogun urged the girls to be bold and confident to pursue their dreams without fear of the environment.

” We want a world where every girl can embrace her adolescence with dignity and confidence. We envision a future where no girl faces barriers due to menstruation, where our comprehensive programs break down taboos, provide education, and offer sustainable solutions, fostering a global community that champions the well-being and potential of every Girl Child,” she said.

Apart from the charity works, the foundation is known for empowering girls through comprehensive menstrual hygiene education and support, ensuring that girls have access to essential resources.

PCRC later presented an award to Hameedah Poverty Relief .Foundation for catering for Nigerian girls and bringing succour to the less privileged persons in the society.
