Federal Lawmaker representing Agege Federal Constituency, Hon (Dr) Wale Ahmed has empowered 135 residents through Free 4-week empowerment and skills acquisition Programme organised to train the youths in the community.
During the 4-week of training on Information, communication, and Technology; Beauty and Aesthetics; Event Decorations; Catering; and Hairdressing amongst others, the participants were motivated with daily allowance and practical drilling.
At the convocation Ceremony held on Thursday, Hon. Ahmed urged the participants to make use of the skills given to them and be employer of Labour,
He said, ”This is an opportunity given to you to be self reliant. Many of the graduates out there will still need this skills acquisition programmme. So every participant must take it serious as I will provide funds to get the various tools for all participants. This programme is not one-off activity and we shall continue serious engagement to make it a routine.”
On the same vein, Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mudaishiru Ajayi Obasa thanked Hon. Wale Ahmed for organising this type of event to the residents and urged the participants to take the Skills serious.
Obasa later donated 100 thousand naira to each of 135 participants .

Apart from the Lagos State Speaker, Rt Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Hon. Abdulkareem Jubril, Hon Taofeek Adaranijo, Hon, Aileru amongst other witnessed the convocation ceremony.
