Agege Media Practitioners show love to Aminat Alege, School girl hit by Police Teargas canister.

The foremost community media in the Agege area of Lagos, known as Agege/ Orile Agege Community Media Practitioners, (AACMAP) visited the young school girl, Aminat Alege, reportedly hit by a police teargas canister in the eye, in Agege.

It was gathered that Aminat lost her right eye in the incident during police intervention in a fracas between two public secondary schools in the Iloro area of Agege.

The case is currently under investigation while the victim is undergoing treatment with the parent’s little resources and few donations.

As the voice of the people on information dissemination within Agege and its environs, the Association of Agege/Orile Agege Community Media Practitioners, paid a visit to Aminat and her parents.

In the words of the chairman of the Association, Comrade Oloyede Kolawole Sunday , the visit becomes imperative as part of the social responsibility of the body. ” Aminat is our daughter and as Agege residents; we think it is also our responsibility to support the family by playing our part for her to regain her sight”

In addition, the respected member of the association, Mr. Adegbenro Nurudeen Adenekan gave a word of hope to the victim.

” Don’t let this incidence make you sad. And it will not stop you from becoming what you intend to be in life. Brace up and be the champion of the world, ” he said.

The high point of the visitation was the presentation of a token of love to Aminat Alege by the association.
