Amidst the economic challenges facing Nigerians, Councilor representing Ward A in Orile-Agege LCDA, Hon. Azeez Akinola has brought succour to the residents of his ward as he distributed free foodstuffs and JAMB Forms to the residents.
The distribution of JAMB Forms was meant to encourage the brilliant students who could not afford the external examination.
While distributing the Food items to the beneficiaries, Akinola urged the residents to be patient with government as the poor economic condition will be tackled.
He said, “I want to appeal to all residents and beneficiaries of this program to please be patient with the Federal Government of Nigeria considering the current challenges our dear country is facing. I am confident that the government at all levels including our Senators and House representative members are working day and night to find workable and permanent solutions to all the problems.”
Meanwhile, Immediate past Assembly member representing Agege Constituency 02, Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu Olugbala, assured the beneficiaries to remain calm with the hope that things will get better. He later commended Hon. Azeez Akinola for giving back to residents of his community at a time like this.
“I want to appreciate the Councillor for coming up with a program like this. It’s indeed worthy of emulation, because for a serving political office holder to come with an initiative like this, it’s obvious that he has the interest of the people at heart and he is indeed ready to serve and put smiles on their faces.” Ogundimu said.
Recall that Hon. Akinola is an Indigene of Orile-Agege Kingdom and had facilitated many oriented program to his area. The Programme ranges from Free Medical Outreach, Free distribution of eye glasses, distribution of educational materials and other items.
He has also facilitated construction of some roads and developmental projects under the administration of Hon. Johnson Babatunde Sunday, the executive Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA.
Hon. Akinola later assured the people of his Ward that he will continue to support them and bring more dividends of democracy to the people at the grassrroot.
On the same vein, Akionla thanked the Executive Chairman, Hon. Johnson Babatunde Sunday for his support at all times and for his incomparable infrastructural renewal in the entire Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area.
The beneficiaries appreciated the Councillor for his kind gesture and pray that God will continue to be with him.
