Orile Agege LCDA Chairman, Hon. Johnson Sunday Babatunde has saluted all teachers in Orile Agege Council Area for their good work and tagged them ‘Heroes of Society”.
Babatunde stated this in a statement released to journalists in Orile Agege.
He said, ”5TH Of October has been set aside annually as the international Teachers’ Day. A special day aimed at raising awareness about the roles of teachers in providing quality education at all levels and to improve the situation of teachers world wide.
”It is therefore imperative to celebrate and express our sincere gratitude to all our exceptional teachers. We want to thank you for being the guiding stars of our lives.
”Your dedication, commitment, patience, determination , wisdom and hardwork made us grow into respectable and responsible professionals in our different fields of endeavour.
”Our teachers are the building blocks that moulds our minds and character, while imparting academic knowledge and shaping our values, ethics and attitudes.
”On this auspicious occasion therefore, I , Hon Johnson Sunday Babatunde, on behalf of the Executive Committee Members, Legislators, Management and staff as well as all the good people of Orile Agege LCDA, wholeheartedly thank our teachers as well as all non teaching staff in all our schools for their tremendous contributions to our lives.
”I also want to use this special occasion to promise all our teachers that our administration will continue to provide comfortable and convenient teaching environment, as well as modern teaching equipment to make your work more pleasurable.
”Our administration has completely changed the phase of all our primary schools, renovating , rehabilitating and building new structures where necessary while also equipping them with modern teaching facilities. Also, the teachers and Headteachers’ office in some of our primary schools have been rebuilt and adequately furnished, in order to boost their morale and for effective and efficient service delivery.
”As a committed and passionate administration, we will put all hands on deck to ensure we take every child of school age in our LCDA out of the streets and reward all our teachers appropriately so as to boost their morale, because teaching is the most responsible an influential job in the world, our teachers are the architect of our society and guiding light for the nation.”
