Free Trade Zone Parcel B Government Resettlement Families and Communities (Abomiti, Yegunda, and Eyin-Osa Resettlement) in Ibeju Lekki Local Government have declared that Saheed Mosadoluwa Audullah popularly known as Ibile, who serves as the Managing Director of Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Ltd, is not a landgrabber.
Over 50 resettled communities, during a Press briefing in Epe, disclosed that the allegations being propagated by certain individuals and entities with questionable motives on the personality of Mosadoluluwa are not true.
They said, ”Our association represents the genuine beneficiaries and landowners of Abomiti, Yegunda, and Eyin-Osa Resettlement Land, which was provided as compensation by the Lagos State Government for our customary lands acquired for the Lekki Free Trade Zone development.
”First and foremost, we wish to express our unwavering support for Hon. Saheed Mosadoluwa Abdullah Ibile and his company, Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Ltd. Mr. Saheed Mosadoluwa Ibile legitimately acquired a substantial portion of our resettlement land. Any claims to the contrary are misleading and deceptive.
”We have observed with great concern the involvement of certain individuals, notably Murphy Adebare, also known as Topaz, and Nola Adetola, also known as Itunu, in the landgrabbing of the Abomiti, Yegunda, and Eyin-Osa resettlement land. It is disheartening to note that they have resorted to employing hired assassins and engaging the services of certain police officers to forcefully take possession of our land.
”We hereby call upon CSP Ishola Jejeloye of the Lagos Task Force to carefully consider the implications of conspiring with individuals like Murphy Adebare and Nola Adetola, who are actively involved in landgrabbing our resettlement land. This land is designated as government resettlement land, and any actions taken to unlawfully seize it run counter to the interests of the Lagos State Government, which appointed you as the chairman of the task force.’
While challenging the directive of the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa regarding the forcible takeover of the land by Topaz and Itunu, especially in light of two separate police investigation reports and legal advice from the Attorney General of Lagos State. the communities argued that the reports should serve as clear evidence of the impropriety of their actions.
”As beneficiaries and landowners, we assert that we have never sold land to Murphy Adebare (Topaz), Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, or Dotun Hassan. Nor have we sold land to Nola Adetola (Itunu/Veritasi). We distance ourselves from these individuals and their fraudulent activities, which involve selling our land to innocent buyers under false pretenses.
”We are also concerned about the involvement of certain parties, such as Yahaya Ayodele, Araba Shoye, Oba Ganiyu Awokoya, Muraina Banjoko (Threeco), and Oba Olusegun Awokoya, in alienating our resettlement beneficiaries without our consent. Their actions have led to fraudulent real estate transactions that endanger unsuspecting buyers.
”We urgently call upon the Epe Local Government to take up this matter on our behalf by petitioning relevant agencies. It has become evident that Yahaya Ayodele, Muraina Banjoko, Oba Olusegun Awokoya, and others have entered into agreements with landgrabbers in police uniform, leading to their collusion with Murphy Adebare, Topaz, and Nola Adetola in their unlawful activities,” they claimed.
In response to recent media attacks and bizarre allegations, Honourable Saheed Mosadoluwa, alongside his legal team, has issued a press release vehemently denying the claims and calling for a fair and unbiased portrayal of the ongoing legal proceedings.
Furthermore, the release delves into a land ownership dispute involving Mr. Mosadoluwa and a party referred to as Murphy Adebare (Topaz). It alleges that Topaz engaged hired assassins to target Mr. Mosadoluwa, leading to a criminal case. Evidence was presented to the media at the press briefing. The release also implicates certain police officers in assisting Topaz’s efforts, an accusation that calls for a thorough investigation.
