- Tasks Nigeria Police Force to prosecute culprits of Armed Robbery
The Omo Epetedo Forum heartily rejoice with the Epetedo Muslim Community on the new Islamic Year, HIJRA 1445AH.
We note that the new year is a period of outright transformation, advancement and renewed blessings from Almighty Allah. Muslims all over the world celebrates HIJRA to signify the triumphant movement of the noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Mecca to Madinah in 622CE. It dwells on moving the center stage of events from mecca and madinah and marked a turning point in the eventual success of Islam. It was also a test of devotion to Islam, indicating willingness to endure all suffering caused by the movement to a new locale for the sake of protecting one’s life and faith.
The Forum has however tasks the Divisional Police Officer, Lion Building Police Station on the need to increase and enhance surveillance patrol within jurisdiction of the station. This was contained in a letter sent to the DPO by the forum and copied to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command and the AIG Zone 2 Command Hqtrs Onikan Lagos, following the heinous attack on an Epetedoite, Olatunji Kazeem, by devil minded Armed Robbers who did not only dispossessed him of his personal effects in the early hours of Tuesday 18th July, 2023 but also stabbed him in various parts of his head and body. Understandably, the Police has apprehended a member of gang who is currently assisting in investigation. We therefore call on the DPO to put all hands on deck and ensure the criminals are brought to justice.
While we will continue to remain the voice of our people, we will not leave anything to chance and ensure justice is served at all time.
