The Pupils of three Orile Agege Public Schools have won Irish Embassy & LGNA International Debate Competition In Lagos.
The Pupils dazzled international audience at the finals of the All Public Primary Schools Debate Competition held in collaboration with the Irish Embassy, LGNA International and Lagos SUBEB.
The Pupils are Habeeb Ridwan of Orile Agege Primary School, Aminu Shuaib of Ladoje Primary School and Shofela Sofiat of Ibukun-Olu Primary School, Orile Agege.
While welcoming the students to Council Secretariat, Executive Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA, Hon. Johnson Sunday Babatunde expressed his joy and appreciated the the pupils for putting the Local Council Development Area on a global map.
He said, ” I am very proud of you and your achievement at Irish Embassy & LGNA International Debate Competition. You did excellently well. It shows that the development of Public Primary Schools embarked on by our administration is paying off already.
” Our Administration has built and renovated over 20 Public Primary Schools in Orile Agege Council Area. And we shall continue to create serene environment for pupils to learn.”
The Council Chairman also thanked the teachers and Education Secretary of LGEA for creating a turf of development for the kids.
The pupils were presented with Trophies, Laptops, medals and educational materials.
Meanwhile, the pupils of Kosofe LGEA took second and that of Alimosho LGEA settled for third.
Guests at the event include Mr. Tunde Jakande, CEO LGNA International; H.E Peter Ryan, the Irish Ambassador to Nigeria; Mr. Tee Mac Iseli; Cir Yemi Adenuga of Meth County Council – Ireland and Mrs. Aduke Gomez amongst others.
