In order to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship and empowerment, Habiba Charity Foundation has donated five sewing machines in preparation to set up Tailoring training centre for Female section of Ogun State Correctional Centre, Ibara-Abeokuta.
The Islamic charity organisation was established to cater for the welfare of downtrodden, prison inmates, juveniles and orphans.
While speaking on the importance of setting up the Tailoring training centre for the female inmates, the founder of the Habiba Charity Foundation, Alh. Abdulrasheed Sunmola said the centre is meant to fill the vacuum of entrepreneurship in the lives of the female inmates.
He said, ” The Tailoring Training Centre will be equipped to train the female inmates who are interested in sewing. For the fact that they are at the custodian centre now does not mean they cannot be useful outside. We shall build the training centre for them to have something doing after leaving this place. Sewing is a serious business in the world today.
‘‘But we cannot do it alone considering the numbers of correctional centres and inmates that need upmost attention. We urge all meaningful Nigerians (Home and abroad) to contribute to Habiba Charity Foundation so that we can touch many more lives,’’
Recall that Habiba Charity Foundation has constructed many structures, sunk boreholes and other laudable projects across several Correctional centres and communities in the Southwestern States of the country.
