Sola Osolana Campaign Organisation (SOCO) has berated some failed politicians who are castigating Hon. Sola Osolana, Peoples Democratic Party candidate, for contesting to represent Agege Federal Constituency at Federal House of Representatives.
In a Press Statement made available to journalists in Lagos, SOCO reacted to a viral video where a top politician in Agege is faulting Osolana for contesting against the candidate of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege.
It said, ‘‘it is unfortunate that a failed politician, who has used about 20 years as a Lawmaker without tangible achievements, is castigating a visionary politician like Hon. Sola Osolana. Let us look around and see high level of underdevelopment in Agege and Orile Agege. Many Agege and Orile Agege public officeholders are only counting their years in political positions without meaningful basic amenities provided for the residents. After rigging themselves to power, Agege and Orile Agege Communities are still backward in terms of Social amenities.
‘‘Let us put the record straight. Sola Osolana, without being in public office, has done well for the Agege and Orile Agege residents. For instance, Free GCE forms, Free JAMB forms and Scholarship programme for students applying to study at tertiary institutions. Empowerment of women and youth are parts of what he has done for the people of both communities.
‘’Compared to failed politicians who only buy houses and cars for themselves and family members. They must understand that Agege and Orile Agege residents have awakened and will never vote for their political inducements, noodles and failed promises again.
‘‘We saw their show of shame exhibited at Agege Stadium last Saturday where the so-called lawmaker cannot boldly outlined what he has done for Agege and Orile Agege residents. It is sad.’’
Meanwhile, SOCO later hinted that Osolana is the only politician who has chain of businesses currently running in Agege and Orile Agege.
‘‘As a matter of fact, Hon. Sola Osolana is the only politician who owns chain of businesses in Agege and Orile Agege. He is an employer of labour who employs residents as staffers. We challenge any other politicians to state what they have done to the residents upon state and Federal resources,’’ it said.
Meanwhile, the Campaign Organisation later urged the residents of Agege and Orile Agege Council Areas to vote for true representative and support Hon. Sola Osolana, Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Federal House of Representatives, Agege Federal Constituency to deliver S.E.E.D.S Agenda to all residents.
