At 2022 Education Conference, Education Administrators in the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos state today honoured Executive Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA, Hon Johnson Sunday Babatunde for his outstanding performance in Education.
The Chairman was represented by his Vice, Hon. Kafilat Akanni Pedro who doubles as the Supervisor for Education in the Council Area.
The conference themed “21st Century Administrator” took place at the NUT Pavilion event Centre, Alausa . According to the organisers, the award was given a result of numerous contributions and outstanding performance of Orile Agege Council boss in the educational sector.
This awards sealed the strong passion of Johnson Babatunde for education in Orile Agege Council Area.
He has renovated 22 out of the 24 Primary schools in the Council Area with modern equipment, donation of 1000 dual seater desk and benches, donation of exercise books and other writing materials, organizing quiz and debate competitions to encourage healthy rivalry and improve the vocabularies of pupils in Primary and Secondary schools.
In addition, his administration has distributed free GCE and Jamb forms to indigent students, organized Spelling Bee competition, renovated vocational centre amongst others.
While speaking at the event, Hon. Akanni Pedro thanked the organizers for the award and promised that Babatunde led administration would not rest on his oars as he would continue to work tirelessly to lift the educational flag of the LCDA higher.
