Under the resourceful and Progressive leadership of the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon Jelili Sulaimon, a new Oba, Oba Akibu Adebowale, has been installed for the very first time in Orisunbare, Alimosho Local Government.
The installation process which started few days back ended today as the brand new Oba of Orisunbare land was presented a staff of office and Certificate in Alimosho Local Government Secretariat by the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Gov Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, in person of Hon Bolaji Kayode Robert aka Bibire, the SA on Chieftaincy Affairs.
In his address, Hon Bibire emphasized that a core part of the administration of Gov Sanwo-Olu is to bring gorvenance very close to the people and promote commited Chiefs in every community in order to ensure progress and development. He specially appreciated the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Hon(Pharm) Usamat Akinbile-Yusuf for her role in ensuring the success of the process.
He ended his speech with the presentation of Staff of office and Certificate to the new Oba with the acknowledgement and supports of all Obas, Imams, Pastors, Male and Females in attendance.
Earlier in the ceremony, Hon Jelili Sulaimon had emphasised the need for solidarity among all the residents of Orisunbare knowing fully well that they now have a brand new King for the first time. He added that the King should also see his new position as a means to deepen peace and unity in Alimosho Local Government.
Before his installation as an Oba, Oba Akibu Adebowale was the head of the Baales-in-council, Alimosho Local Government.
In attendance at the ceremony were the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon Jelili Sulaimon and his counterpart from Ejigbo LCDA, Hon Monsuru Oloyede Bello aka Obe.
Others include the Obas of Igando, Ikotun, Egbeda, Shasha, Olobele Ota as well as the members of the Baales-in-council, Alimosho Local Government.
Also in attendance were the members of Alimosho Local Government Executive Council and Legislative arm.
