The Senior Prophet of Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Global Parish, Israel Oladele Ogundipe, has advised Nigerian youths to embrace the spirit of entrepreneurship to curb the economic hardship in their lives.
Ogundipe stated this at a Leadership conference themed: Standout Conference 5G held at Lagos Oriental Hotel.
The conference was dedicated to open up the minds of youths to their talents, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
Prophet Israel Oladele said, “As youths, you do not need to be involved in fraudulent activities to make it in life. Entrepreneurship is the solution for you to cure poverty. You can dwell on technology, real estate, vocational businesses and other viable jobs for survival.
“And this church (Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Global Parish) will be totally involved in empowerment of youths and women. We shall be moving around the nooks and crannies of this country to empower the youths. If we empower them (the youths), Nigeria will have little problems to battle with.”
While speaking at the leadership conference, Dr. Stephen Akintayo, a real estate merchant, rolled out solutions that can make youths to stand out irrespective of their current economic challenges.
“We are in a unique season in the history of this country and everybody is willing to run away from Nigeria. But a lot of our youths can standout, like the theme of this conference, by going through the way of apprenticeship and get somebody who is already successful and learn the trade, overtime, you will do well. For us to standout, many of us have to be faithful in another man’s business to succeed. Success is not a destination, it is a process of a journey.” he said.
Akintayo added that youths must pick the right mentors to succeed in their chosen careers.
On the same vein, the National Youth Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dayo Israel, pleaded with the youths to be sensitive to the environment and maximize the abundant opportunities around to succeed.
APC Youth Leader later narrated how he dwelled into Lagos Politics and rose to become a national officer of his political party, APC. He hinted that humility, perseverance and strongmindedness are the real answers to youth development.
Meanwhile, Niyi Adesanya opined that Nigerian youths need to take their places in leadership and explore the opportunities wandering around the country. He appealed to the youths to reset their environments, friends and business ideas for greatness.
Apart from the notable speakers, other dignitaries at the events are; Olubankole Wellington (Banky W), Mike Abdul and Beejay Sax.
The events also featured admonition, music and worshipping.
