The Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for Agege Federal House of Representatives eEection, Sola Osolana has congratulated the Governor-elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke over his victory in the just concluded Governorship Election in Osun State.
Recall that Independent National Electoral Commission declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the Osun governorship election.
The Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced that Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes beating the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.
In a statement released to journalists by Sola Osolana Campaign Organisation in Lagos, Osolana, after congratulating with the winner of the Osun State Gubernatorial Election, urged Agege and Orile Agege residents to emulate the Osun voters and vote for competent and visionary leaders in the upcoming general elections.”
“As INEC released the official results and announced Senator Ademola Adeleke as Governor-elect, it is a clarion to all of us in Agege and Orile Agege residents to create a new channel of development for our communities. I enjoin all residents to embrace the change that happened in Osun State and replicate it here in Agege for us to bring needed development to our environment.
“For many years, Agege Federal Constituency has been neglected by poor representatives and this is evident across the 13 Wards in both Agege and Orile Agege Council Areas. It is doable for us to change the narrative and build greater Agege,”Osolana said.
He added that if residents of Osun State can vote against incumbent Government in Osun State because of underdevelopment, Agege and Orile Agege electorates can do the same in the forthcoming Federal House of Representatives election in Agege Federal Constituency.
Meanwhile, Osolana promised to bring true representation, youth employment and sustainable development goals to Agege and Orile Agege Local Government Areas respectively.
